Company Review: All Your Moments #ad

By Unknown - 10:00

All Your Moments is a photography company based in the West-Midlands that is predominantly focused around wedding and engagement occasions. The company has been in business since October 2014 and has captured, and been part of, a number of events since then. This company is definitely up and coming, one to keep your eye on and one to consider for all your event photography needs. I was lucky enough to be able to interview the founder and owner of All Your Moments, Justin Diss, and find out more about his photography and company as a whole (and I was actually his first ever interview for his company, wow).

What first attracted you to do photography?

"I think it was growing up and having pictures around the house, and my mom was very much into it - not at a professional level - she just liked having pictures and I think it just started from that. As DSLR's became more affordable and readily available, I got one and took it from there really."

How long ago did you start the company? And how long ago did you start doing photography professionally?

"It was October last year - October 2014 - so I'd had enough of my full time job and I raided my savings and bought loads of professional gear and I've just carried on building up from there."

What enticed you to do photography professionally in the first place?

"I'd just had enough of the normal 9-5 grind and I was just spending that much time working in a self-employed position. I'd had enough and I just got the opportunity to go for it, and I was like 'If I don't do it now, I never will.' So I threw caution to the wind and hoped for the best."

What kind of photography do you do?

"I'll do pretty much anything people want event wise - birthdays, christenings, weddings, portrait shoots, the main things - but I do try and focus mainly on the weddings and engagement shoots really."

What locations do you cater for?

"The whole of the UK at the minute. I've got a wedding in London coming up at the end of September, and Northampton, and mainly Midlands and West Midlands based, but I'm happy to go anywhere really."

What is your favourite type of photography?

"I really like street photography. I think there's something quite nice about the things that everyone sees generally day-to-day on the street just frozen in that moment and I do try to put that into my photography. When I'm shooting at an event, I try and avoid all the posing - unless people want them - and it will be more just stick a 70-200mm lens on and linger on the sidelines and just try and capture people naturally, as they are and having fun."

What is your most favourite photograph you've ever taken?

"It's this one of my now wife when we first got engaged. I took a picture of her and it's out of focus, it's focused on the ring on her finger and it's like a fist in front of her face. Although it's out of focus, you still get all of the emotion there and joy in her eyes. It doesn't always have to be perfect to capture the emotion of it all."

If you could photograph any place in the world, where would it be and why?

"It would probably be - I'm not sure what the highway name is but there's a road on the way into Monument Valley in America. We went to Monument Valley before and unfortunately I didn't have a decent camera - it was just a point and shoot. I got some really nice pictures but I'd love to opportunity to go back and play with the long highways and go back there, I think.

I have had experience with All Your Moments a few times now, where we have used this photography service for parties and specific photo shoots. The photographs that he produces are top notch (and I'm not just saying that because I know the owner) and perfectly capture the moment in each and every photo. Go and check out All Your Moments on social media to see his portfolio of photographs and keep up to date with the shoots that he does.
